Important information about your rights and responsibilities

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Agreement") govern your access to and use of the web application, mobile application, website, or other services (collectively, the "Service") provided by FIManager LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you ("you", "your", "User") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

2. The Service

2.1 Description

The Service provides educational tools and financial-planning software designed to help you create, simulate, and analyze financial plans (budgeting, forecasting, assets & liabilities, etc.). It is for educational and informational purposes only and not investment, tax, or legal advice.

2.2 No Professional Advice

The Service does not provide and should not be construed as providing professional investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any fiduciary services. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the Service.

2.3 Changes

We may modify or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuation of the Service.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to register for an account and provide accurate, current and complete information.

3.2 Credentials

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

3.4 Subscription Details

Subscriptions are billed in advance and automatically renew unless canceled.

3.5 Free Trial Terms

Free trials are offered at our discretion and are limited to one per user. Billing will begin automatically at the end of the trial period unless canceled before the trial ends.

3.6 Refunds

When you purchase FIManager, payment processing is handled by Stripe. Stripe manages payments, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds according to Stripe's terms of service.

Cancellation Rights

If you are a consumer (purchasing for personal, non-business use), you may have a legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of the transaction and receive a refund. This right may no longer apply once the digital product has been downloaded or used, as allowed under applicable consumer laws.

Refund Requests

All refund requests should be submitted by contacting FIManager support at contact@fimanager.app. Refunds are reviewed case by case and may be approved or declined based on eligibility under our refund policy.

When Refunds May Be Granted

A refund may be considered if:

  • The product does not work as described and the issue cannot be resolved after reasonable support efforts.
  • There is confirmed fraud associated with the purchase.
  • The request is submitted within 14 days of purchase.

When Refunds Are Not Granted

Refunds are generally not provided if:

  • You changed your mind after purchasing.
  • You decide not to use the product.
  • The issue is due to lack of technical skill or incorrect configuration.
  • A chargeback or payment dispute was opened before contacting support.
  • The product has already been downloaded or used, which may void statutory cancellation rights.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and are subject to standard processing times.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact FIManager support at contact@fimanager.app within 14 days of purchase and include your order details.

4. License and Use Restrictions

4.1 License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service for your personal/non-commercial use (or as otherwise permitted).

4.2 Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws;
  • reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit the Service or any portion for any commercial purpose;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the Service;
  • use the Service in a manner that harms or interferes with the operation of the Service or the rights of other users;
  • circumvent any access restrictions or security features of the Service.

5. Educational & Informational Content

The content provided through the Service (including models, projections, calculators, reports, etc.) is based on assumptions, inputs, historical data, estimations and/or third-party data. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of such content. Your use of the content is at your own risk, and you should not rely solely on the Service for making financial decisions. You may wish to consult a qualified professional advisor.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title and interest in and to the Service (including software, content, user interface, designs, graphics, documentation) are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the license granted above, no other rights are conveyed to you. You must not remove any copyright or other proprietary notices from the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE (OR OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR LICENSORS) BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR LOST OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICE IS TO STOP USING THE SERVICE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless us and our officers, directors, employees, agents and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason (including if you breach these Terms). Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. The disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and intellectual property provisions shall survive termination.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time in our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example via email or via the Service). Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflicts-of-law rules.

12.2 Arbitration

Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your access to or use of the Service shall be resolved through good faith negotiation or, if necessary, through the appropriate legal channels.

12.3 Venue

If arbitration is not enforceable, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in the United States.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals or communications, whether electronic, oral or written, regarding the Service.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.

13.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations at our discretion.

13.5 Notices

We may provide notices to you by email or via the Service. You agree we may send notices electronically.

13.6 Export Compliance

You represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country to which the United States has embargoed goods or services or any other restricted jurisdiction.

14. Additional Terms

14.1 Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services (data feeds, financial institutions, etc.). Your use of those third-party services may be subject to additional terms or policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

14.2 Plaid Integration

We use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect to your financial institutions and retrieve your financial data. By using our account linking features, you acknowledge and agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. At no point do we receive or store your login credentials for your financial institutions. Your credentials are securely handled by Plaid. You may revoke Plaid's access at any time through the Plaid Portal or by contacting us.

14.3 AI-Powered Features

The Service may include features powered by artificial intelligence (AI), such as financial insights, recommendations, and analysis tools. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated content is for educational and informational purposes only and should not be considered professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice;
  • AI outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information, and you should verify any AI-generated information before relying on it;
  • You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content;
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated outputs.

14.4 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions or ideas about the Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute and display such feedback without any obligation to you.

14.5 Educational Use Only

You understand and agree the Service is intended for educational, illustrative and planning-purposes only and is not intended as a guarantee of future results. Actual results will vary and depend on numerous factors not in our control.
